About this site

Who runs this site

This site is run by Lucas Silva, who is responsible for the writing, the choice of sources and the review of everything published here. It is not a health service, a clinic, or a substitute for medical care — it is a set of calculators and reference tables built for quick lookups.

Why it exists

Questions like “how much water should I drink a day” or “is a fasting glucose of 100 normal” have objective answers, but most pages that answer them are slow, buried in intrusive ads, or never say where the number came from. This site exists to answer fast, on a phone, with the official source in plain sight.

Method

Every calculator and every table here follows the same rule: no number is published without an official source cited on the page. The sources used are listed at the foot of each page, with a direct link to the original document.

The English content on this site started as a translation of a Portuguese-language project with the same rules. Where a Brazilian source was the original reference, the translated page keeps that citation visible rather than swapping it for a nearer-sounding one — the reader can see exactly which document a number came from and judge it.

Authorship and review

Author and editorial lead: Lucas Silva. This site does not currently have a formal medical or pharmacy reviewer — a deliberate choice while the project is starting. To limit the risk of that, the site:

  • publishes the lowest-risk categories first (calculators and reference tables built on public formulas with an official source), leaving symptoms, diseases and medication for a later stage;
  • cites the official source of every number and formula;
  • repeats, on every calculator, that the result does not replace medical assessment.

Bringing in a reviewer for specific sections is planned for when the site has traction — see the Terms of Use for the full disclaimer.

How the site pays for itself

Right now it does not: there are no ads, no analytics and no affiliate links on this site. If that changes, this page and the Privacy Policy will be updated in the same release that introduces them, before anything is loaded in your browser.
